Welcome to the hungry gnomes gallery! I, Bette Jane, am a very, very amateur photographer. My good friend Riley and I dabbled in film photography about five or six years ago, exploring the world through a lens and camera that had at least 40 years on us.

Since then, I have taken film classes and spruced up my photographic skills. I have much less knowledge in the digital department, as I mostly just stick with film. However, I hopped on that technological bandwagon in testing out my dad’s simple but awesome Nikon Coolpix L120, which is particularly handy in blog-related circumstances. When I return to school, though, it’s back to shooting with my light-leaked (beautiful) Minolta XG-M. In this gallery, you can find pictures that document years of friendship and a humble but enormous passion for communicating life through a photograph.
